We work for several art galleries moving valuable works of art across Europe, and in this case a gallery in Plymouth wanted to deliver an exhibition to Paris. The gallery were referred to us via another courier who could not handle the high value items they needed to transport – we have experience of these kind of deliveries, plus high value insurance and vehicle tracking.
The artwork was mostly sculptures, and the gallery constructed a protective crate that fit perfectly inside our Sprinter van. When transporting art we generally use a variety of protective packing, from blankets to card and other items, to ensure art is kept secure and protected and if necessary at a moderate temperature.
Door to door this delivery took 12 hours, and we needed to arrive by 7am in order to deliver before the gallery opened for the day.
